We are original by design, deserving of a soul simple life and soul-inspired living every day. It’s time for my “Act 3” in life and life’s work. I’m bringing my passion for creativity and innovation together with my unique soul gifts of writing, healing, and coaching.

I’m being intentional about my choice to bring in more soulfulness and simplicity to my life and work and to stay connected to my origin and originality. When we each bring forward work that is aligned with our core gifts and values, we heal ourselves and the world.

Hello and welcome! I’m Dawn, founder of Soul Simple Life.

This Soul Simple Life blog post is to share that all of my work is now under the umbrella of Soul Simple Innovation. For now, you’ll still find my creative offerings [books, paintings, patterns, photos, and poems] from New Dawn Studios at my personal website. Here at Soul Simple Life are coaching, courses, and community. Look for courses and circles this fall.

My work is all about the journey back to you, to who you are and who you have come to be, and to a soul simple life, individually and collectively. As we begin to explore what a Soul Simple Life looks like and how we can reclaim more of it, I wanted to take a moment to connect with those of you who have known me and various aspects of my work through the years. And also to introduce myself to anyone who’s new to me and my work.

In this blog post, I’ll share some thoughts on why I chose the name Soul Simple Innovation for this next phase of my life and my life’s work and what you can expect when you connect with me and my work.

These three words encapsulate the best qualities I bring forward across all my work—the creative offerings I share through paintings, patterns, photos, poems and books from the soul for the soul, the coaching and healing I have shared, my signature soul and strategy sessions, soul journey experiences and courses, life tools and systems, product offerings, even past career opportunities and current consulting connections. It also encapsulates the qualities I want to bring to any creative offerings, products and services I share in this next phase of my life and work.

This strong knowing that there is an elegant simplicity to the soul and it is the key to a thriving life combined with my passion creativity and innovation will lead me through the next phase of my life and my life’s work. I’m excited to share the journey with you!

Where We’re Going: The Return to a Soul Simple Life

This is what my Act III is about. Having just turned 60 (how did this happen?), I am keenly aware that it’s time to pare down to what matters most. For me, and I believe for any hope of a higher harmonic humanity, that means a return to all that is soulful, all that is simple, and all that leads me back to life. In some ways it’s a simplification. Yet, I see it as expansion from a more powerful core. Within the still center that resides in what we call the soul, there is a field of recreation. Just by the simple yet daring act of being who you are and allowing what wants to be birthed through you to enter into this gracious spaciousness, you are connecting to your unique path to life. I’m stepping into the field of recreation with this slight shift in how I see and share all of my work as one thing.

Here, in this field, all things become possible. I am making my great return to a soul simple life, and I hope to encourage and support you as you do the same. That’s what the Soul Simple Life website is all about. In the words of the Cultivating Essence  book (13th anniversary edition available July 14), we are together growing back toward the ground of being. We are becoming more of who we are.

How We Get There: Two Pathways Back to Life

Your return to a soul simple life happens when you begin to see there are two simultaneous journeys we make in life—the journey back to sacred wholeness which is all about radical reclamation and the journey to soulful transformation which is the radiant realization of who we truly are.

We are engaged in these journeys every single day individually and collectively. When we connect to these movements first, things begin to unfold naturally. We tap meaning, movement, and momentum action pathways. We come to LIFE + Live In Full Expression. When more of us do that, everything changes everywhere all at once and for the good of all.

Soulful simplicity is our natural state. The way we get there is to remember and then to dare to make our great return to life and the life within that, when connected to all the other lights that shine, is the light of humanity and indeed from this river of life, the love that births and sustains all life is renewed eternally.

All of this is to say that Soul Simple Innovation will extend an invitation for you to travel these two pathways of radical reclamation and radiant realization alongside me. Together, we will explore, discover, create, and connect [those are the phases of my Creative Revolutions Cycle from my first business 25 years ago and also informed Life Course Coaching which I offered in 15 years ago]. But before the creativity and innovation, we begin within with soulful simplicity.

WHAT’S IN A NAME? SOUL SIMPLE INNOVATION IS A NAME THAT IS REPRESENTATIVE OF WHAT LIFE IS AT ITS ESSENCE, AT ITS CORE, WHEN YOU PEEL AWAY ALL THAT IS FALSE AND FIND WITHIN YOU ALL THAT IS TRUE AND ESSENTIALLY YOU.

WE SERVE FIRST AND FOREMOST BY CONNECTING TO WHAT CONNECTS US INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY TO SOUL SIMPLE SOLUTIONS. ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES WE SHARE WILL SUPPORT A SOUL SIMPLE LIFE.

SOULFULNESS AND SIMPLICITY PRECEDE THE INNOVATION.

This Is Soulful. This is Simple.

Each one of us, when we reside in our true nature and embody such soul simplicity, are by nature innovative. We are each unique and here on Earth to bring forward a particular play of light, an essential story of life, a grace-filled revolution of love. This is the process of creation at work in you and through you.

Creativity and innovation are the natural result of you aligning with the life within you—your Soul’s Truth And Radiance or what I like to call your STAR Power. As you come to life and live in full expression you bring more and more of YOU to life. Even better, you feel life, day by day, more and more.

That’s when the magic really starts, and every day becomes play. Every moment is fresh. NOW is always your Next Opportunity Window. You see beauty, touch wonder, dance with mystery. You are alive, and you bring more life to life! You come to life and share your unique soul. And we need more of that.

I HOPE TO EMPOWER AND INSPIRE YOU TO BE MORE YOU. MY UNIQUE WAY OF DOING THAT IS TO USE MY PASSION FOR CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION TO CONNECT YOU TO WHAT MATTERS MOST—

Soul Simple Innovation feels like more of a gentle return than it does some bold new thing. In a way, the name is a formality, a way to play with the structures of our current reality. But really it’s just me being me, sharing this passion for life and the song of the soul with you.

I invite you to make this journey with me, to become a soul explorer and to meet me on the way. Soul Simple Life and the Soul Song Sanctuary I’ll share more about in coming months are a place where we can honor the song of our soul, where we can find and share soulful connection, soulful creativity, and soulful community.
